Alex Colomé
Alexander Manuel Colomé Pérez (born December 31, 1988) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, and Chicago White Sox. Professional career Tampa Bay Rays At age eighteen, Colomé signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays as an amateur free agent in March 2007. The Rays added him to their 40-man roster on November 18, 2011. The Rays promoted Colomé to the major leagues on May 29, 2013. He started 3 games, posting a 2.25 earned run average (ERA). On March 24, 2014, Colomé was suspended 50 games for failing a random drug test. Colome ended the year 2–0 with a 2.66 ERA in 5 games, 3 of which were starts. Sultanes De Monterrey
The Sultanes de Monterrey ( en, Monterrey Sultans) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Monterrey, Mexico. They compete in the Northern Division. The team also joined the Mexican Pacific League for the 2019–20 season following the conclusion of the Mexican League season, making them the only team to participate in both the summer and winter leagues in Mexico. Keiunta Denard Span (born February 27, 1984) is an American former professional baseball center fielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins, Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants, Tampa Bay Rays and Seattle Mariners. Span batted and threw left-handed and at the height of his career was known as one of the premier leadoff hitters in baseball due to his exceptional on-base percentage. Brad Boxberger
Bradley George Boxberger (born May 27, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers. Boxberger attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he played college baseball for the USC Trojans. Drafted in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds, Boxberger played in minor league baseball for the Reds until was traded to the Padres after the 2011 season. In baseball, a closing pitcher, more frequently referred to as a closer (abbreviated CL), is a relief pitcher who specializes in getting the final outs in a close game when his team is leading. The role is often assigned to a team's best reliever. Before the 1990s, pitchers in similar roles were referred to as a fireman, short reliever, and stopper. The 2016 Tampa Bay Rays season was the Rays' 19th season of Major League Baseball and the ninth as the "Rays" (all at Tropicana Field). After starting the season 31–32, the Rays went 37–62 across their final 100 games, including a dismal 3–24 stretch before the All-Star Break, to finish at 68–94, their worst record since the 2007 season.
