Alejandro Barrett (born March 6, 1994) is an American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at San Diego State. Early years Barrett played high school football at Desert Ridge High School in Mesa, Arizona and earned First-team All-State honors twice. He also Letterman (sports), lettered in track and field at Desert Ridge. College career Barrett played for the San Diego State Aztecs football, San Diego State Aztecs of San Diego State University from 2013 to 2016. He was redshirted in 2012. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played.
