Alevtina Kolchina
Alevtina Pavlovna Kolchina (russian: Алевти́на Па́вловна Ко́лчина alternate spelling: Alevtina Koltsjina; 11 November 1930 – 1 March 2022) was a Soviet cross-country skier who competed during the 1950s and 1960s for Burevestnik and later for Dynamo sports societies. She competed in four Winter Olympics, earning a total of five medals. Kolchina also competed several times at the Holmenkollen ski festival, winning three times at 10 km (1961–1963) and once at 5 km (1966). Personal life and death Kolchina was born in the village of Pavlovsk, Ochyorsky District, Perm Oblast, and took up skiing at the age of 13. She was married to four-time Olympic cross country medalist Pavel Kolchin until his death in 2010. In 1973, the family moved to Otepää, where Kolchins worked as national cross-country ski coaches, functionaries and consultants. Alevtina Biktimirova (born September 10, 1982) is a Russian long-distance runner, who specialises in the marathon. Biography Alevtina placed first in the women's division in the Eurocity Frankfurt Marathon in October 2005. She finished sixth in the 2006 Boston Marathon and was the youngest person in the elite field. She also finished sixth in the 2006 European Athletics Championships that year in Gothenburg. Alevtina finished second in the 2008 Boston Marathon with a time of 2:25:27, and second in the 2008 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:29:32. She finished ninth in the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. Alevtina Viktorovna Aparina (russian: Алевтина Викторовна Апарина; 20 April 1941 – 29 December 2013) was a Russian politician and member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Biography Aparina was born in Stalingrad on 20 April 1941. She graduated from Rostov State University in 1967. Alevtina Aparina studied philology at the university. In 1986 she graduated by correspondence from the Saratov . She began to work as a common worker in a sovkhoz. Aparina also worked as an accountant, a cattleman, pig-tender, and a poultry woman. Between 1965 and 1967 she was employed at middle school as Russian teacher. Aparina had been elected as a deputy of the State Duma's fourth convocation on 7 December 2003. On 22 June 2012 she retired as general secretary of the Volgograd's Communist Party of the Russian Federation branch. Alevtina Vasilyevna Fedulova (russian: Алевтина Васильевна Федулова, born 14 April 1940) is a Russian political activist and former leader of the Soviet Women's Committee (later the Union of Women of Russia). Early life Fedulova was born on 14 April 1940, in Elektrostal, to an illiterate, yet intelligent, mother and a blacksmith father, who died when she was young. An excellent student, Fedulova wished to become a teacher as a child, but went to a local technical school linked to a local factory. Under pressure, Fedulova's mother paid the tuition to allow her to finish at the school, enabling her to take entrance exams in Moscow for a teacher training institute there. Fedulova married at age 20, while still studying at the institute, in 1960. Her husband was conscripted to military service around the time their son was born. She has won at the Prague International Marathon (in 2002) and the Nagano Olympic Commemorative Marathon (in 2007 and 2008).
