Alessio Riccardi (born 3 March 2001) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Latina. Club career A product of Roma youth academy, since 2017 he plays for the U19 Primavera team. Steven Alessio (born 8 November 1971), is a former Australian rules footballer with the Essendon Football Club. He played 184 games for Essendon between 1992 and 2003. Of Italian descent and named in the VFL/AFL Italian Team of the Century in 2007. Alessio was named as the starting ruckman for Essendon's 'Best of the AFL era' (post-1990) team, named in 2015. He was reportedly recruited after walking into the clubhouse and asking for a trial, instead of being selected through the player draft. He was given the number 27 guernsey (which had been made famous by Essendon's champion ruckman Simon Madden and has been given to ruckmen ever since). He played in their 2000 premiership team. Angelo Alessio (born 29 April 1965 in Capaccio) is an Italian football manager and former player. Playing career A central midfielder, Alessio started his professional career with then-Serie A club Avellino in 1984. He was then signed by Italian powerhouse Juventus in 1987, with whom he played until 1992 (except for a season loan at Bologna in 1988–89), winning a Coppa Italia–UEFA Cup double in 1990. He then moved to Serie A club Bari, before to join Cosenza in the Serie B and then returning to Avellino (now in Serie C1) in 1997. He ended his career in 1998 after a season with Modena.
