Alessia Russo (rhythmic Gymnast)
Alessia Russo (born 24 September 1996 in Figline Valdarno, Italy) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2019 Summer Universiade Ribbon silver medalist. On national level, she is a two-time (2018, 2019) Italian National All-around bronze medalist. Career Junior She competed at the 2011 European Championships in Minsk, Belarus as a member of the Italian junior group. Together with Chiara Di Battista, Carmen Crescenzi, Alessia Medoro, Francesca Medoro and Valentina Savastio she placed 6th in Group All-around and 7th in 5 Ropes final. Senior She made her World Championship debut at the 2013 World Championships in Kyiv, Ukraine, placing 29th in All-around Qualifications. Figline Valdarno () is a ''frazione'' in the ''comune'' of Figline e Incisa Valdarno in the Metropolitan City of Florence in the Italian region of Tuscany, located about southeast of Florence. 2013 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships
The 2013 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships were held in Kyiv, Ukraine, from August 28 to September 1, 2013 at the Palace of Sports. Yana Kudryavtseva of the Russian Federation became the youngest individual world all-around champion in rhythmic gymnastics history at the age of 15 years. The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. Veronica Bertolini (born October 19, 1995) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the five-time (2013-2017) Italian National all-around champion. Biography Born in Sondrio, Italy, Bertolini started practicing rhythmic gymnastics in 2003 at 8 years of age. Career In 2009, Bertolini moved to Desio, Italy at the sports club ASD San Giorgio '79. In 2010, Bertolini became a member of the Italian National team and competed at the 2010 European Junior Championships in Bremen, she qualified in the Ball finals finishing in 6th place. Bertolini debuted as a senior in the 2011 Season and has competed in the World Cup series and Grand Prix series. In 2013, Bertolini participated at the 2013 European Championships in Vienna, Austria.
