Aleksey Sidorov
Aleksey Leonidovich Sidorov (russian: link=no, Алексе́й Леони́дович Си́доров; born August 22, 1968) is a Russian film director, screenwriter and producer. Biography Aleksey was born in Severodvinsk. He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Petrozavodsk University, after which he moved to Moscow and began attending courses for scriptwriters and directors. He made his film debut in 2002. Severodvinsk ( rus, Северодвинск, p=sʲɪvʲɪrɐdˈvʲinsk) is a city in the north of Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia, located in the delta of the Northern Dvina, west of Arkhangelsk, the administrative center of the oblast. As of the 2021 Census, the population was 157,213. Due to the presence of important military shipyards (specialising in submarines since the Soviet period), Severodvinsk is an access-restricted town for foreign citizens. A special permit is required. ''Brigada'' (russian: Бригада), also known as ''Law of the Lawless'', is a Russian 15-episode crime television miniseries that debuted in 2002. It became very popular in Russia and ex-Soviet countries as well as Eastern Europe, but received criticism for positive portrayal of criminals and aestheticization of violence. ''Shadowboxing'' (russian: Бой с тенью, Boy s tenyu; literally "Fight with Shadow") is a 2005 Russian 4-episode sports drama movie. The film stars Denis Nikiforov, Yelena Panova, and Andrey Panin, and it was directed by Aleksey Sidorov. The title track from the music score was performed by Finnish cello rock band Apocalyptica.
