Aleksey Savrasenko
Alexey Dmitrievitch Savrasenko (alternate spelling: Alexei) (russian: Алексей Дмитриевич Саврасенко, born February 28, 1979) is a retired Russian-Greek professional basketball player. He played at the Center (basketball), center position. Because of half-Greek origin from his mother's side, he has dual citizenship in both Russia and Greece. In fact, his Greek passport states his name as Alexis Amanatidis (Greek language, Greek: Αλέξης Αμανατίδης). Professional career In June 2011, Savrasenko signed a one-year contract with BC UNICS, UNICS Kazan. On August 24, 2012, Savrasenko reached a one-year deal with PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. He retired from professional basketball at the end of the 2012–13 season. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. Russian National Basketball Team
The Russia men's national basketball team (russian: национа́льная сбо́рная Росси́и по баскетболу, natsionalnaya sbornaya rossii po basketbolu) represents Russia in international basketball competition. They are organized and run by the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF). The team came into existence after the dissolution of the Soviet Union and its national team. In the post-Soviet era, the Russia national team consisting of Soviet players under the guidance of Sergei Belov won the silver medal at EuroBasket 1993.
