Aleksander Hetland
Aleksander Hetland (born 26 December 1982) is a Norwegian swimmer. Hetland, who represents Bærumssvømmerne,Listing of Norwegian Records, retrieved from medley.no on 2009-07-15. has his strength in the medley events. He became world champion in the men's 50 metre breaststroke in the 2012 Short Course Worlds in Istanbul. At the 2004 Short Course Worlds in Indianapolis, IN, USA, Hetland finished fourth in the 100 m individual medley, setting the Norwegian Record with his time of 54.44. He claimed his first international swimming medal at the 2006 Short Course European Championships in Helsinki, where he received the bronze medal in the 100 m individual medley, improving his Norwegian Record to 53.70. Hetland followed that up with success at the 2007 SC Europeans, winning the silver medal on 50 m breaststroke and setting a new Nordic Record, with 26.93. Frode Andresen
Frode Andresen (born 9 September 1973) is a former Norwegian biathlete and cross-country skier. Early life Andresen was born in the Netherlands, and lived one year each in Cape Town, South Africa; Lagos, Nigeria; and Nairobi, Kenya, because of his parents' careers. They settled in Norway when Frode was four, and a year later he learnt to cross-country ski, taking up biathlon when he was twelve. Biathlon career Andresen started competing in 1985 and has 15 World cup victories. In all Andresen had 47 podium finishes, 15 1st (including three wins at the Holmenkollen ski festival biathlon competition with two sprint wins (2000, 2001) and one pursuit (2001)), 15 2nd and 17 3rd places. Asker Svømmeklubb is a swimming club based in Asker, Norway. With about 1800 members, at present ASK is one of the biggest swimming clubs in Norway according to memberships, second only to its neighbour Bærumssvømmerne. It was founded in 1957. In the seventies and eighties, ASK was the dominating club in Norwegian swimming, with athletes like Øyvind Miller, Lasse Nagell, Knut Arne Landbøe, Fredrik Sørvig, Haakon Schram-Stokke, Kristine Moen and Karina Samuelsen. In the nineties ASK experienced a downfall, and one of their training-facilities, Bondihallen, was shut down due to poor maintenance.
