Aleksandar Gajić
Aleksandar Gajić ( sr-cyr, Александар Гајић; born 14 January 1983) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. Professional career A point guard, Gajić played for Partizan, Crvena zvezda, Lukoil Academic, Sloga, Bosna, APOEL, Khimik, Igokea, Ilysiakos, Swisslion Takovo, Napredak Kruševac, and AEK Larnaca. He retired as a player with AEK Larnaca in 2012. National team career In July 1999, Gajić was a member of the Yugoslavia U16 national team that won the gold medal at the European Championship for Cadets in Slovenia. Over eight tournament games, he averaged 6.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. At the tournament's end, he picked up the Most Valuable Player award. In July 2000, Gajić was a member of the Yugoslavia U18 team that won the gold medal at the FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in Zadar, Croatia. The 1999 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship (known at that time as 1999 European Championship for Cadets) was the 15th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. The cities of Polzela, Celje and Laško, in Slovenia, hosted the tournament. Yugoslavia won the trophy for the second time in a row. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the FIBA, International Basketball Federation. Mirza Delibašić Cup (), formerly Basketball Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina (), is the men's national basketball cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bulgarian Basketball Cup
The Bulgarian Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition, organized by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation since 1951. The cup was not held in 1957, 1958, 1960 and 1961. BC CSKA Sofia is the all-time record holder with 17 titles. Format Since 2009, except from 2017 to 2019, the Final Eight format has been used and from 2010 only teams from the first tier participate in it. The eight teams play a play-off at one venue, over four days, eventually producing a winner. From 2017 to 2019, the quarterfinals and semifinals are played in a double-legged format, while the final was played in one game on a neutral venue. The National Basketball League (NBL) (in Bulgarian: Националната баскетболна лига) is the highest-level professional basketball league in Bulgaria. The current league was founded in 2008, though the first-tier level existed since 1942 and was previously called the Bulgarian A Division. YUBA League
The YUBA League was the top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia and Montenegro (previously FR Yugoslavia). Founded in 1992 and folded in 2006, it was run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro. The name ''YUBA League'' (Yugoslav Basketball Association League) was used in Serbia and Montenegro until 2006. It consisted of the first-stage "First League", and the second-stage "Super League", with each having their own men's and women's divisions.
