Aleknagik
Aleknagik ( ; esu, Alaqnaqiq) is a second class city in the Dillingham Census Area of the Unorganized Borough of the U.S. state of Alaska. The population was 219 at the 2010 census, down from 221 in 2000. Geography Aleknagik is located at (59.278362, -158.622928) (Sec. 31, T010S, R055W, Seward Meridian), in the Bristol Bay Recording District. Aleknagik is located at the head of the Wood River on the southeast end of Lake Aleknagik, northwest of Dillingham. The city is named after Aleknagik Lake. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which is land and , or 40.89%, is water. Climate Aleknagik's climate is similar to that of nearby Anchorage and Dillingham, having a typical subarctic climate (Köppen climate classification: Dfc). Aleknagik Lake
Aleknagik Lake is a lake in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is long by wide. The village of Aleknagik is on its southeast shore. ''Aleknagik'' is a Yupik word meaning "wrong way home".
