Alejandro Ganzábal
Alejandro Román Ganzábal (born 16 February 1960) is a former professional tennis player from Argentina. Career Ganzabal made his Grand Slam debut in the 1981 French Open and managed to reach the third round, beating former finalist Manuel Orantes and American Steve Krulevitz. In 1982 he was runner-up in the Buenos Aires Grand Prix tournament and made quarter-finals at Venice, Boston and Quito. He had an upset win over third seed Eliot Teltscher in Boston. At the French Open that year, Ganzabal defeated Júlio Góes in the opening round but was unable to overcome Mike Myburg in the second round, losing in five sets. His best result in 1983 was at Aix-En-Provence in France, where he was a quarter-finalist. He was defeated by Fernando Luna in the opening round of that year's French Open. Gustavo Guerrero (born 22 October 1959) is a former professional tennis player from Argentina. Career Guerro competed in five French Opens. He lost to Rod Frawley in the first round of the 1981 French Open and then to another Australian, Paul McNamee, in the 1984 French Open opening round. Brian David Teacher (born December 23, 1954) is an American former professional tennis player. He reached career-high rankings of world No. 7 in singles and world No. 5 in doubles, both in 1981. José Luis Clerc
José Luis Clerc (; born 16 August 1958), also known by the nickname Batata, is a former professional tennis player from Argentina. He reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) world No. 4 singles ranking on 3 August 1981, following a run of 25 consecutive match wins after Wimbledon. Tennis career Clerc represented Argentina for the Davis Cup from 1976 to 1989. He and Guillermo Vilas led Argentina to its first Davis Cup final in 1981 to set up a tie against United States in Cincinnati, Ohio. After Vilas lost the first rubber in straight sets to John McEnroe, Clerc defeated Roscoe Tanner in straight sets in the second rubber to level the tie. Henrik Sundström
Henrik Sundström (born 29 February 1964) is a former professional male tennis player from Sweden. He is nicknamed Henke. Sundström was at his best on clay and achieved his strongest results on this surface, with his solid and heavy topspin groundstrokes from the baseline. Tomáš Šmíd (born 20 May 1956) is a former tennis player from Czechoslovakia, who won nine singles titles during his career. In doubles, he won 54 titles and was world No. 1 in doubles from December 17, 1984, to August 11, 1985. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of world No. 11 in July 1984. Šmíd participated in 31 Davis Cup ties for Czechoslovakia from 1977 to 1989, posting a 20–10 record in doubles and a 22–15 record in singles. The Atlanta Open was a professional men's tennis tournament that was played in the Atlanta area in the United States from 2010 to 2024, usually during July or August. The tournament was played on outdoor hard courts as part of the USTA's US Open Series, the seven-week summer season lead-up to the U.S. Open. The Atlanta Open was known as the ''Atlanta Tennis Championships'' for its first two years before signing BB&T as a title sponsor in 2012.
