Alec Crozier
Alexander Wilson Crozier (9 July 1904 – 19 June 1974) was an Australian rules footballer who played with in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Early life The son of John Crozier (1870–1930) and Agnes Catherine Crozier, nee Alexander (1879–1948), Alexander Wilson Crozier was born at Kensington on 9 July 1904. Kensington is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Melbourne local government area. Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. The 1926 VFL season was the 30th season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Victoria. The season featured twelve clubs, ran from 1 May until 9 October, and comprised an 18-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top four clubs. The premiership was won by the Melbourne Football Club for the second time, after it defeated by 57 points in the 1926 VFL Grand Final.
