Alec Brady
Alexander Brady (9 February 1870 – 19 October 1913) was a Scottish professional association football, footballer who played as an inside forward. Upon his death, the Sheffield Star, Sheffield Evening Telegraph described him as being "in his day one of the best forwards in the country". Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its football league system until 2021. Founded in 1886, the SJFA is responsible for disciplinary matters within the grade, certain player registration procedures and organising the annual Scottish Junior Cup. Other league and cup competitions are organised by regional committees. The association headquarters are at Hampden Park, Glasgow, which is Scotland's national football stadium. Dumbarton (; also sco, Dumbairton; ) is a town in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the north bank of the River Clyde where the River Leven flows into the Clyde estuary. In 2006, it had an estimated population of 19,990. Dumbarton was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Strathclyde, and later the county town of Dunbartonshire. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border. From its foundation in 1890 until the breakaway Scottish Premier League (SPL) was formed in 1998, the SFL was the top level of football in Scotland. Dan Doyle (footballer)
Daniel Doyle (16 September 1864 – 9 April 1918) was a Scottish footballer who played for among others, East Stirlingshire, Hibernian, Sunderland Albion, Grimsby Town (where a collision with opponent William Cropper in an 1889 match led to the other player's death - an inquest cleared Doyle of any wrongdoing), Bolton Wanderers, Everton (where he partnered Andrew Hannah in defence as the club won their first Football League title in 1890–91), Celtic (where he won four Scottish Football League championships – becoming the first player to win a league title on both sides of the border), and the Scotland national team. He won a total of eight caps for Scotland between 1892 and 1898, and also represented the Scottish League XI ten times. He died from cancer at his home in Glasgow in April 1918. Andrew Boyd Hannah (17 September 1864 – 29 May 1940) was a Scottish international footballer who played as a right back. He missed just two games in Everton's 1890–91 title winning season.
