Alebrijes De Oaxaca
Alebrijes de Oaxaca Fútbol Club is a Mexican football team based in the city of Oaxaca, state of Oaxaca. They play in the second tier of Mexican football league, Liga de Expansión MX. The team was created when the Tecamachalco franchise won the Segunda División title and earned the promotion to the Ascenso MX. Due to poor infrastructure they were unable to participate, which led to the formation of the new Oaxaca franchise. History In the team's search for a new venue, the owners of the Tecamachalco franchise received support from the Oaxacan state government. They also received support from a group of businessmen led by Carlos Ojeda of Laredo, who wanted to bring professional football back to the state of Oaxaca. On December 10, 2012, the president of the Liga MX, Ascenso MX, and Decio de María made the official announcement at the state capital building of the start of a new football club. Alebrijes () are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical (fantasy/mythical) creatures. Description The monos de madera or alebrijes as they are called in Spanish were originally created by carver Manuel Jimenez but soon became so popular that other people from his town and a few other communities in Oaxaca began carving to have an extra income. The first alebrijes, along with the invention of the term, originated with Mexico City '' cartonero'' Pedro Linares. Linares often told that in 1943, he fell very ill. While he was in bed unconscious, he dreamt of a strange place resembling a forest. There, he saw trees, rocks, and clouds that suddenly turned into something strange, and some kind of animals but unknown animals. He saw "a donkey with butterfly wings, a rooster with bull horns, and a lion with an eagle head", and all of them were shouting one word ''"Alebrijes! Alebrijes! Alebrijes!"'' Club Atlético Zacatepec was a Mexican football team based in Zacatepec, Morelos. They are nicknamed ''Cañeros'' (sugarcane growers). Their colors are white and green (from sugar and sugarcane, respectively). Their uniform color is a white shirt with a big green line in the middle and white shorts and socks. Their greatest achievements were in the 1950s when Zacatepec won two titles in Primera División. They won their first league title in the 1954–1955 season and their second title in the 1957–1958 season. Zacatepec won the Copa Mexico championship in the 1958–1959 season. Alebrijes de Oaxaca UABJO, also and officially named Alebrijes de Oaxaca Fútbol Club Premier, was a Mexican football team based in the city of Oaxaca, state of Oaxaca. They played in the third tier of Mexican football league, Serie B de México. The team was the second squad of the club Alebrijes de Oaxaca and was founded in 2013, dissolved in 2015 and resumed on July 30, 2021. The team was dissolved again on June 15, 2023 to give way to C.F. Orgullo Reynosa. Yohan Salwan Zetuna ( ar, يوهان زيتونة; born 31 May 2000) is an Iraqi professional footballer of Assyrian ethnicity who currently plays for Tlaxcala. Everton de Viña del Mar is a Chilean football club based in the city of Viña del Mar. The club was founded 24 June 1909 after a group of Anglo-Chilean teenagers formed a football club and named it after the English team Everton who had recently completed a pioneering tour of South America.
