Aldrick Rosas
Aldrick Rosas (born December 30, 1994) is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. He was selected to the Pro Bowl for the 2018 season as a member of the New York Giants. College career Rosas who is of Mexican–American descent, played college football at Southern Oregon University of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). In 2014, he tore the ACL in his kicking leg making a tackle in the NAIA Championship Game. After missing the 2015 season, he decided to forego the remainder of college eligibility to pursue a career in the NFL. Professional career Tennessee Titans Following the conclusion of the 2016 NFL Draft, Rosas signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2016. Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Conversion (gridiron Football)
The conversion, try (American football, also known as a point(s) after touchdown, PAT, or (depending on the number of points) extra point/2-point conversion), or convert (Canadian football) occurs immediately after a touchdown during which the scoring team is allowed to attempt to score one extra point by kicking the ball through the uprights in the manner of a field goal, or two points by bringing the ball into the end zone in the manner of a touchdown. Attempts at a try or convert are scrimmage plays, with the ball initially placed at any point between the hash marks, at the option of the team making the attempt. Mike Nugent
Michael Nugent (born March 2, 1982) is a former American football placekicker. He played college football for Ohio State University, and was twice recognized as a consensus All-American. He was drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft, and has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, and New England Patriots. Early years Nugent was born in Centerville, Ohio. He attended Centerville High School, and played kicker and quarterback on the Elks football team. He was a teammate of linebacker A. J. Hawk on the school's football team.
