Aldious
is a Japanese heavy metal band from Osaka, formed in 2008 by guitarist Yoshi and vocalist Rami. After a few member changes, they released their debut EP ''Dear Slave'' the following year and soon after formed their own record label, Bright Star Records. A stabilized line-up including guitarist Toki, bassist Sawa and drummer Aruto was established by 2010. Their first album ''Deep Exceed'' (2010) reached the top 15 on the Oricon chart, as did their second ''Determination'' (2011). However, Rami announced she was leaving the group in June 2012 and new vocalist Re:NO joined Aldious just one month later. They produced their third album ''District Zero'' in 2013 and it became their highest-charting release to date, reaching number 7. Rami (singer)
is a Japanese heavy metal singer and lyricist. She first rose to prominence as vocalist and co-founder of the all-female power metal band Aldious from 2008 to 2012. After a hiatus, she resumed musical activities in 2015 as the vocalist of the group Raglaia, before starting a solo career in 2016. Career Rami started singing at five years old. Her parents converted their garage into a kind of karaoke café, where she heard ''enka'' for the first time. She then started listening to J-pop and rock, before someone introduced her to heavy metal and she became immersed in it. Her first band was called Area. Rami co-founded Aldious in Osaka with guitarist Yoshi in June 2008. She is the one who came up with the band name by shortening the phrase "Ultimate Melodious," and wrote almost all the lyrics during her time with them. Cyntia
Cyntia was a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 2011. They are believed to have been the first act from the Girls Metal Band Boom to have signed to a major record label when they joined Victor Entertainment in 2013. Drummer and co-founder Kanoko left the group in April 2015, and the band moved to the Village Again Association label for their 2016 album ''Urban Night''. Cyntia began an indefinite hiatus after January 13, 2018. History Guitarist Yui and drummer Kanoko formed Cyntia in April 2011, after meeting on the set of a music video by Liv Moon. Suitei Shoujo
was a Japanese pop duo that debuted in August 2001, consisting of members Rino (''Nikaido Rino'' 二階堂梨乃, born April 9, 1987) and Lissa (''Abe Risa'' 安倍莉沙, born September 8, 1987). They were known as the Japanese t.A.T.u due to their provocative outfits and attitude towards each other. They disbanded on March 31, 2006. Summer Sonic
The , also known as Supersonic, is an annual two- or three-day rock festival held at the same time in Osaka and Chiba, Japan. The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba the following day and vice versa. The line-up contains Japanese rock musicians from major and independent record companies, plus international acts. In 2017, the festival was expanded to include Shanghai, China. History Summer Sonic Festival was founded in 2000 in Japan, by Naoki Shimizu, CEO of Tokyp promotions company Creativeman Productions Ltd. Loud Park
The was a heavy metal festival held annually at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama City or Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan. It was one of the biggest heavy metal festivals in Japan. The festival has featured both Japanese and international performers such as DragonForce, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Slayer, Circus Maximus, Napalm Death, Angra, Loudness, Anthem, United, Outrage, Galneryus, Dir En Grey and Babymetal. Destrose
Destrose was a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 2007. The group remained an independent band their entire career and experienced frequent line-up changes until going on indefinite hiatus in 2015. Although considered pioneers of the Girls Metal Band Boom, Destrose never achieved commercial success and is best known for the subsequent bands later formed by its many members. The Agonist is a Canadian melodic death metal band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2004. Terry Bozzio
Terry John Bozzio (born December 27, 1950) is an American drummer best known for his work with Missing Persons and Frank Zappa. He has been featured on nine solo or collaborative albums, 26 albums with Zappa and seven albums with Missing Persons. Bozzio has been a prolific sideman, playing on numerous releases by other artists since the mid-1970s. He was inducted into the ''Modern Drummer'' Hall of Fame in 1997. JPU Records is a British record label formed in 2012, which specializes in handling international releases by Japanese artists. Notable acts on JPU's roster include The Gazette, Band-Maid, Lovebites, and Nemophila. History The label was established in 2012. Its first release was ''Division'' by popular Japanese visual kei rock band The Gazette, followed by the 2013 album '' Beautiful Deformity.''
