Alderman White School
Alderman White School is a mixed, 11-18 secondary school in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire. The school is a member of The White Hills Park Federation Trust and became an academy on 1 October 2012, rebranding from Alderman White School & Language College to Alderman White School. The school specialises in languages, and runs many language classes on a pay-as-you-go basis which are offered to both students and the wider community. Bramcote Hills Sport & Community College was formally closed by Nottinghamshire County Council on 31 August 2009. The council agreed on 1 September 2009 to enlarge Alderman White School by incorporating the remaining site of Bramcote Hills School, following demolition of the unsafe upper school. Academy (English School)
An academy school in England is a state-funded school which is directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. Gary Birtles
Garry Birtles (born 27 July 1956) is an English retired professional footballer who played as a forward in the Football League between the 1970s and 1990s. He is best known for his time at Nottingham Forest, during which he won the 1979 and 1980 European Cup Finals. He was also capped three times by England. Club career Nottingham Forest Birtles was signed by Nottingham Forest from non-league Long Eaton United for £2,000. He made his Forest debut as a winger in March 1977 in the old Second Division against Hull City. His second competitive first team appearance was not until 18 months later in September 1978. The Tenderloins
The Tenderloins are an American comedy troupe composed of James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn, and Sal Vulcano. The group stars in the television series ''Impractical Jokers'', which premiered on December 15, 2011. The program airs on truTV in the U.S. and on Comedy Central in the UK, Ireland, and India. Origin The comedians met in religion class during their freshman year at Monsignor Farrell High School on Staten Island in 1990. After discovering their mutual interests in drama and improv, the group joined an improv club because "It was the only way to meet girls", since they attended an all-boys school. To come up with a name for their comedy troupe, the friends referenced a list of words kept by member Sal Vulcano that he would find embarrassing to say, such as "cullottes," "gargoyles," and "nougat." The ''Nottingham Post'' (formerly the ''Nottingham Evening Post'') is an English tabloid (newspaper format), tabloid newspaper which serves Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and parts of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. Alice Levine
Alice Esme Levine (born 8 July 1986) is an English radio and television presenter, narrator, and comedian. Early life and education Levine was born in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. Her father is a retired lecturer at the University of Nottingham. Her mother is a caterer and former artist. She attended Alderman White School in Bramcote. Richard Arthur Beckinsale (6 July 1947 – 19 March 1979) was an English actor. White Hills Park Federation
The White Hills Park Trust, is a collective group of academies in Nottinghamshire, England. The name is derived from the three schools originally within the White Hills Park Federation. The Federation was founded in 2006 after recruiting a 'super head', for the three schools which at the time none of which had a headteachers. Kevin Dean was recruited from Eastwood Comprehensive School, to become the Federation Executive Head Teacher. On 1 October 2012 the White Hills Park Federation became The White Hills Park Federation Trust, a multi-academy trust, and since then has become known simply as The White Hills Park Trust. Bramcote is a suburban village in the Broxtowe district of Nottinghamshire, England, between Stapleford and Beeston. It is in Broxtowe parliamentary constituency. The main Nottingham–Derby road today is the A52, Brian Clough Way. Nearby are Beeston, Wollaton, Chilwell and Stapleford. One of the main roads between Nottingham and Derby used to pass through the village centre, entering a cutting that formed a blind bend. History This was the first school to be built on the Bramcote Hills Site. Beeston, Nottinghamshire
Beeston is a town in the Borough of Broxtowe, Nottinghamshire, England, south-west of Nottingham city centre. To its north-east is the University of Nottingham's main campus, University Park. The pharmaceutical and retail chemist group Boots has its headquarters east of the centre of Beeston, on the border with Broxtowe and the City of Nottingham.
