Albuquerque Lady Asylum was an American women's soccer team, founded in 2006. The team was a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League, the third tier of women's soccer in the United States and Canada. The team plays in the North Division of the Big Sky Conference. The team folded after the 2008 season. The team played its home games in the stadium on the grounds of Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The club's colors was sky blue, black and white. The team was a sister organization of the men's Albuquerque Asylum team, which plays in the National Premier Soccer League. Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica (SiO2·''n''H2O); its water content may range from 3 to 21% by weight, but is usually between 6 and 10%. Due to its amorphous property, it is classified as a mineraloid, unlike crystalline forms of silica, which are considered minerals. It is deposited at a relatively low temperature and may occur in the fissures of almost any kind of rock, being most commonly found with limonite, sandstone, rhyolite, marl, and basalt. The name ''opal'' is believed to be derived from the Sanskrit word (), which means 'jewel', and later the Greek derivative (), which means 'to see a change in color'. There are two broad classes of opal: precious and common. Precious opal displays play-of-color (iridescence); common opal does not.
