Alberto Setele
Alberto Setele (22 November 1935, Zavala – 7 September 2006) was a Mozambican clergyman, Roman Catholic Bishop of Inhambane. Setele was ordained as a priest on 9 August 1964. On 20 November 1975 he was appointed Bishop of Inhambane by Pope Paul VI. Zavala, also known as Quissico, is a city in Mozambique. It is the capital of the Zavala District. The town lies on the Mozambique Channel coast and the EN1 road. It is known for its lagoons and for its musicianship. The Chopi ethnic group is numerous in Zavala. Inhambane
Inhambane, also known as Terra de Boa Gente (''Land of Good People''), is a city located in southern Mozambique, lying on Inhambane Bay, 470 km northeast of Maputo. It is the capital of the Inhambane Province and according to the 2017 census has a population of 79,724, growing from the 1997 census of 54,157. The settlement owes its existence to a deep inlet into which the small Mutamba River flows. Two protective sandy headlands protect the harbor and form a sandbank. The sister town of Maxixe is located across the bay of Inhambane. History Inhambane is one of the oldest settlements on Mozambique's eastern coast. Dhows traded here as early as the 11th century. Muslim and Persian traders were the first outsiders to arrive to the area by sea and traded pearls and ambergris, and they also traded at Chibuene in the south. Pope Paul VI ( la, Paulus VI; it, Paolo VI; born Giovanni Battista Enrico Antonio Maria Montini, ; 26 September 18976 August 1978) was head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City, Vatican City State from 21 June 1963 to his death in August 1978. Alexandre José Maria Dos Santos
Alexandre José Maria dos Santos (18 March 1924 – 29 September 2021) was a Mozambican Roman Catholic cardinal. He was the first native cardinal of Mozambique. Ecclesiastical career Dos Santos was born in Zavala, Mozambique. He studied in Nyasaland and Lisbon before being ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1953, becoming the first black Mozambican to receive the distinction. In 1973 he became the first African to run a seminary in Mozambique. He was archbishop of Maputo, between 1975 and 2003. Beira is the capital and largest city of Sofala Province, where the Pungwe River meets the Indian Ocean, in the central region of Mozambique. Fábio Daniel Januário known simply as Januário (born September 3, 1979 in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil) is a retired Brazilian professional footballer. He played for Esteghlal in the Iran's Premier Football League before being released because of heavy injury. He usually played in the midfielder position. Pemba, Mozambique
Pemba is a port city and district in Mozambique. It is the capital of the province of Cabo Delgado and lies on a peninsula in Pemba Bay. The town was founded by the Niassa Company in 1904 as Porto Amélia, after the Queen of Portugal, at the peninsula's northwestern tip and has grown around a port. The city is renowned for its Portuguese colonial architecture. It was renamed Pemba at the end of Portuguese rule, in 1975. The city's inhabitants are primarily Swahili, Makondes, Macuas and Mwanis.
