Alberto Nicolás Martínez (born 13 August 1990) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Deportivo Riestra. Career After youth stints with Atlas, Vélez Sarsfield and Ferro Carril Oeste, General Lamadrid were Martínez's first senior team. Five goals in seventy-three fixtures followed in Primera C Metropolitana across the 2008–09, 2009–10 and 2010–11 seasons, with the latter concluding with promotion to Primera B Metropolitana; though they'd be relegated after one season, as he appeared thirty-one times. In early 2013, Deportivo Español of the fourth tier completed the signing of Martínez. Four goals in fifty-seven fixtures occurred along with promotion. The 2017–18 Argentine Primera B Nacional is the 33rd season of the Argentine second division. The season began in September 2017 and ended in June 2018. Twenty-five teams competed in the league, seventeen returning from the 2016–17 season, four teams that were relegated from Primera División and two teams promoted from Federal A and B Metropolitana. Competition format The league's format changed from the previous season. Twenty-five teams play each other once for a total of twenty-four matches each. Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down.
