Alberto Beingolea
Alberto Ismael Beingolea Delgado (born 19 November 1964) is a Peruvian politician, who was the President of the Christian People's Party between 2017 and 2021. He is a former Congressman, representing Lima between 2011 and 2016. Before entering politics, he was a journalist and sports commentator. Early life and education Beingolea was born in Lima on 19 November 1964. He completed his elementary and secondary education at the San Luis Maristas School of Barranco. Upon graduation, he was admitted to the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, from which he received his law degree in June 1990. Specializing in criminal law, he completed his a master's degree in that specialty at the same university in 2009. Christian People's Party (Peru)
The Christian People's Party ( es, link=yes, Partido Popular Cristiano, PPC) is a center-right and conservative political party based on the principles of Christian democracy. It was founded in 1966 by a group of Peruvian Christian Democrat Party (''Democracia Cristiana'') dissidents, led by Luis Bedoya Reyes. In 2000, its inscription was renewed, and it became part of National Unity (Peru), National Unity, although not in a permanent basis. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). 2011 Peruvian General Election
General elections were held in Peru on 10 April 2011 to elect the President, the Vice Presidents, 130 members of Congress and five members of the Andean Parliament. As no presidential candidate received a majority in the first round, a second round was held on 5 June to determine the successor of outgoing president Alan García. Former army officer Ollanta Humala narrowly defeated Keiko Fujimori, daughter of imprisoned former President Alberto Fujimori. Humala was sworn in as the 94th President of Peru on 28 July. Lourdes Celmira Rosario Flores Nano (born October 7, 1959) is a Peruvian lawyer and politician who served as a councilwoman of Lima, Deputy from Lima from 1990 to 1992, Democratic Constituent Congresswoman from 1992 to 1995, Congresswoman from 1995 to 2000, and the Christian People's Party candidate for President of Peru in the 2001 and 2006 elections in which she ran under the National Unity. Peru National Football Team
The Peru national football team represents Peru in men's international football. The national team has been organised, since 1927, by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). The FPF constitutes one of the ten members of FIFA's South American Football Confederation ( CONMEBOL). Peru has won the Copa América twice, and has qualified for the FIFA World Cup five times (last appearing in 2018); the team also participated in the 1936 Olympic football competition and has reached the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. ATV (known as Andina de Televisión) is a Peruvian television network founded in 1959 and relaunched in 1983. The network is the flagship property of Grupo ATV, one of Peru's largest media and broadcasting companies. History What is known today as ATV started in 1959 with Alfonso Pereyra as its first manager. The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the 14th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was held from 8 June to 8 July 1990 in Italy, the second country to host the event for a second time (the first being Mexico in 1986).
