Albert Palmer (American Politician)
Albert Palmer (January 17, 1831 – May 21, 1887) was an American schoolteacher, businessman, and politician from Candia New Hampshire, and Boston, Massachusetts, who served as mayor of Boston from January 1, 1883, to January 7, 1884. Early life Palmer was born in Candia, New Hampshire, he was the seventh of eleven children born to Joseph and Abigail Palmer. Education Palmer graduated from Phillips Exeter, and from Dartmouth College in 1858. Family life Palmer married Martha Ann Newell, they had two children Joseph Newell Palmer, born January 1, 1865 and Wilson Newell Palmer, born July 7, 1867. Teaching career Palmer taught at the Boston Latin School, and in the schools of West Cambridge, Massachusetts. Albert Palmer (Australian Politician)
Albert Clayton Palmer (1859 – 14 August 1919) was an Australian politician. He was a member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1906 to 1907 and from 1907 until his death, representing the electorate of Echuca for the Anti-Socialist Party and its successors the Commonwealth Liberal Party and Nationalist Party. Palmer was born in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood, and later moved to Euroa with his father and brother when his father purchased the Euroa flour mill. Upon the death of their father, the brothers inherited the mill and operated the business as Palmer Brothers; Palmer also held grazing interests. He was a Shire of Euroa councillor from 1888 to 1893. He was involved with the Australian Natives Association and was a supporter of Federation before becoming involved in a number of influential conservative organisations. Albert Palmer was a trader and a politician in New Brunswick, Canada. As a member of the Liberal Party of New Brunswick, he represented Queen's County in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1882 to 1892 as an Honorary Member of the Provincial Parliament (MPP).
