Albert Bers
Albert Bers (11 December 1931 – 25 February 2021) was a Belgian football player and coach. He became the first coach of the Belgium women's national football team in 1976 and was the coach until 1990. He became also coach of several Belgian clubs, including K.R.C. Mechelen. He was footballer for among others Sint-Truidense V.V. Sint-Truiden (; french: link=no, Saint-Trond ; li, Sintruin ) is a city and municipality located in the province of Limburg, Flemish Region, Belgium, and has over 41,500 inhabitants, which makes it one of the largest cities in Limburg. Genk () is a City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities in Belgium, municipality located in the Belgian Provinces of Belgium, province of Limburg (Belgium), Limburg near Hasselt. The municipality only comprises the town of Genk itself. It is one of the most important industrial towns in Flanders, located on the Albert Canal, between Antwerp and Liège. The Belgium women's national football team (nicknamed ''Belgian Red Flames'') represents Belgium in international women's football. It is controlled by the Royal Belgian Football Association, the governing body for football in Belgium. Their home stadium is Den Dreef and their current coach Ives Serneels.
