Albert Anderson (Montana Judge)
Albert Anderson (March 28, 1876 – October 17, 1948) was a justice of the Montana Supreme Court from 1941 to 1945. Born in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, Anderson received an LL.B. degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1906, and moved to Glendive, Montana, in 1912. He served as the County Attorney for Dawson County, Montana Dawson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,940. The Montana Supreme Court is the supreme court, highest court of the state court system in the U.S. state of Montana. It is established and its powers defined by Article VII of the 1972 Montana Constitution. Glendive is a city in and the county seat of Dawson County, Montana, United States, and home to Dawson Community College. Glendive was established by the Northern Pacific Railway when they built the transcontinental railroad across the northern tier of the western United States from Minnesota to the Pacific Coast. Dawson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,940. Its county seat is Glendive. History Dawson County was the tenth county organized in Montana Territory. It was created January 15, 1869, four and a half years after Montana Territory was organized.
