Ken Albers
John Kenneth Albers (December 10, 1924 – April 19, 2007) was an American singer and brass musician who performed with The Four Freshmen from 1956 to 1982. Albers was born in Woodbury, New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and attended the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. Albers sang with The Stuarts Quartet prior to joining The Four Freshmen in 1956. One of Albers' first appearances as a member of The Four Freshmen was a live telecast of ''The Ray Anthony Show'' in 1956. In addition to being a vocalist, Albers played the trumpet, mellophone, and flugelhorn. Paul Albers (born October 15, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Houston Aeros. Playing career Albers played major junior in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for five seasons with the Calgary Hitmen, Regina Pats and Vancouver Giants. Marcel Albers
Marcel Albers (April 29, 1967 – April 20, 1992) was a Dutch motor racing driver. Having progressed through the ranks of the Dutch formulae, including a Formula Ford championship win in 1989, Albers moved to the Opel Euroseries for 1990, going on to finish a creditable sixth in the championship. A move to British Formula Three for 1991 followed and again impressed, finishing fifth in the championship. He also finished third at the prestigious Marlboro Masters, finishing behind Scotsman David Coulthard and Spain's Jordi Gené. These performances had installed Albers to be one of the title favourites for the 1992 British championship. Jan Albers (born 27 March 1952 in Veldhoven, North Brabant) is a former Dutch field hockey player, who played for the Dutch Men's National Field Hockey Squad, EMHC, HC Tilburg and HC Klein Zwitserland. When Albers reached the age of 17 he went to play for EMHC in Eindhoven, where he played for five years in the first team and formed a very successful combination with famous hockey player Paul Esmeyer (who later married Git Weijtens, one of the best hockey players the game has ever had). Whilst playing for EMHC, Albers was invited to play for the national Dutch field hockey team under 21 years of age, under the nickname 'Jantje Basko'.
