Craig Albernaz
Craig Francis Albernaz (born October 30, 1982) is an American professional baseball bullpen and catching coach for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for Eckerd College. Albernaz signed with the Tampa Bay Rays as a free agent in 2006. High school, college, and playing career Albernaz attended Somerset Berkley Regional High School in Somerset, Massachusetts. He attended Eckerd College, where he played college baseball as a pitcher and catcher. He graduated from Eckerd in 2005. Albernaz was undrafted out of college and signed with the Tampa Bay Rays as a free agent in 2006. He played as a catcher in the Rays organization from 2006 through 2013. He spent his final season in 2014 in the Detroit Tigers organization. Coaching career Albernaz began his coaching career in 2015. João Teixeira Albernaz I also referred to as João Teixeira Albernaz, the Elder (late 16th centuryc. 1662), to distinguish him from his grandson, was the most prolific Portugal, Portuguese cartographer of the seventeenth century. His works include nineteen atlases, a total of two hundred and fifteen maps. He stands out for the variety of themes, which record the Age of Discovery, progress of maritime and land exploration, particularly in the Portuguese colony of Brazil. João Teixeira Albernaz belonged to a prominent family of cartographers whose work extended from mid-sixteenth century until the late eighteenth century, including his father Luís Teixeira, uncle Domingos Teixeira, brother Pedro Teixeira Albernaz and grandson João Teixeira Albernaz, the younger, as well as Estevão Teixeira. Pedro Teixeira Albernaz
Pedro Teixeira Albernaz was a Portuguese cartographer born in 1595 in Lisbon, Kingdom of Portugal. He came from a family of cartographers including his father Luís Teixeira, uncle Domingos Teixeira, and his brother João Teixeira Albernaz I who he collaborated with. Around 1610, Pedro went to work in Spain. Pedro served as the royal cosmographer to Philip III of Spain (1598 -1621) and Philip IV (1621-1665). In the years 1622 to 1630 he worked on mapping the coasts of the Iberian Peninsula. Pedro changed his works from nautical charts to topographical survey chart throughout this time period. Pedro was appointed with his brother to make a map of Straits of Magellan and St. Vincent. Pedro died in 1662 in Madrid. Rosa Albernaz is a Portuguese politician. At the time of her resignation from the Assembleia da República, the Portuguese Parliament, in 2018, she was the longest-serving female MP, having been in office for around 36 years. Rosa Maria da Silva Bastos da Horta Albernaz was born on 4 September 1947. A teacher by profession, she first served in the Second Assembly as a representative for Aveiro in 1980 as a member of the Socialist Party of Portugal (PS) and was re-elected at all subsequent elections.
