Rosedale Park, North Shore
Rosedale Park, is a reserve and sports ground in the suburb of Rosedale in Auckland, New Zealand. It is the home ground of NRFL Northern Conference side Albany United, North Harbour Softball and North Harbour Hockey. Rosedale park also has a playground, fitness equipment, picnic tables, and a 9-hole frisbee golf course. History As of 2022, Urban Solutions have started planning new pedestrian and cycling paths to encourage locals to walk while creating a safe environment for them to do so. A five year project run by Te Hōnonga a Iwi is currently underway to restore 4000 square metres of Rosedale Park using bio-organic principles. Albany ( mi, Ōkahukura) is one of the northernmost suburbs of the contiguous Auckland metropolitan area in New Zealand. It is located to the north of the Waitematā Harbour, northwest of the Auckland city centre. The suburb is in the Albany ward, one of the thirteen administrative divisions of Auckland Council. Much of the land to the north of Albany is still semi-rural. The Māori name for the area was Okahukura (literally, 'place of rainbows' or 'place of butterflies'). The town was originally known as Lucas Creek. The Northern Regional Football League Championship, currently known as Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a semi-professional New Zealand association football league competition. Up until 2022, the competition was known as NRFL Division 1. The league includes football clubs located in the northern part of the North Island, with clubs from the Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty provinces. The league sits at step 3 of the New Zealand football pyramid. Current clubs Waiheke United and North Shore United joined the league following their relegation the season prior from the Northern League. Hibiscus Coast were promoted as winners of NRFL Division 2, with Ngaruawahia United also promoted. The Northern Regional Football League Conference, currently known as Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Conference for sponsorship reasons, is a New Zealand amateur football league. The league is run by the Auckland Football Federation and includes football clubs located in the northern part of the North Island, New Zealand. It is open to clubs from the Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty provinces. Up until 2022, the competition was known as NRFL Division 2, and was not split into Northern and Southern competitions. The fixtures are played generally from April to September. Clubs are able to win promotion to NRFL Championship. The current champions as of the 2022 season are Hibiscus Coast.
