Alan Scott (footballer, Born 1900)
Alan Gordon Forcett Scott (25 August 1900 – 2 October 1982) was an Australian rules footballer who played for St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He also had a noted career in Tasmania in both the Northern Tasmanian Football Association (NTFA) and Tasmanian Football League (TFL). Football North Launceston Scott, a Tasmanian, started his career at North Launceston, where his twin brother Don also played. He was a member of their 1923 and 1925 NTFA premierships. Warracknabeal The 1926 season was spent at Warracknabeal in country Victoria, where he had gone to study "scientific farming". While studying at Warracknabeal he played football with the Warracknabeal Football Club in the Wimmera Football League. Ringarooma
Ringarooma is a small town in north-eastern Tasmania. It is located just east of the Ringarooma River and is about south-west from Derby and east-northeast from Launceston. The area around Ringarooma is known for Dairy farming and timber harvesting. The locality is in the Dorset Council LGA, except for about 2.5% which is in the Break O'Day Council area. History The district was opened up to farming in the 1860s, and the town itself was founded in 1882 when a rural property was subdivided into lots by landowner Christopher Krushka. Tasmanian Football Hall Of Fame
The Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame was established to help recognise outstanding services and overall contribution made to the sport of Australian rules football in Tasmania. Any participant of the sport, including players, umpires, media personalities and coaches, may be inducted. A physical hall was established in 2005 after the Tasmanian Community Fund provided a $50,000 grant to assist AFL Tasmania and the Launceston City Council with establishment of a permanent facility at York Park. The decision to locate the Hall of Fame at the ground was because the site had recently been redeveloped and was positioned as the "true home of Tasmanian football". AFL Tasmania initiated the Hall of Fame nomination process, with a number of clubs, players and grounds nominated and accepted into the Hall of Fame since 2005.
