Alan Santos da Silva (born 24 April 1991), known as Alan Santos, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Chapecoense as a defensive midfielder. Career Brazil Born in Salvador, Bahia, Alan Santos began his career at Vitória's youth categories, but joined Santos in a four-year deal on 26 June 2009. On 30 August Alan Santos made his first-team debut, replacing Emerson in a 2–0 home success over Fluminense. On 8 February 2011 he was loaned to Paulista, but only appeared once for the club. Alan Santos only played his second match for ''Peixe'' on 10 March 2012, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 1–3 loss at Mogi Mirim. He appeared in four further matches in that year, being sent off in a 3–1 home win over Palmeiras on 1 December. 2014 Santos FC Season
The 2014 season is Santos Futebol Clube's 102nd season in existence and the club's fifty-fifth consecutive season in the top flight of Brazilian football. As well as the Campeonato Brasileiro, the club competes in the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Paulista. This season is the first in history that Santos uses fixed numbers assigned to each player. The 2013 season is Santos FC's 101st season in existence and the club's fifty-fourth consecutive season in the top flight of Brazilian football. Santos reached the Campeonato Paulista Finals for fifth consecutive season, but failed to win their fourth consecutive title as they lost by 2–3 on aggregate for their biggest rival, Corinthians. On 25 May 2013, Santos announced that they had sold Neymar to Barcelona for a fee of € 57 million. A week later, the club sacked the head coach Muricy Ramalho due to the discontent of the crowd and the club's directors with his results. For his place, Claudinei Oliveira assumed as caretaker. The 2012 season was Santos Futebol Clube's 100th season in existence and the club's fifty-third consecutive season in the top flight of Brazilian football. Santos won the Campeonato Paulista title for the third consecutive time and became the first team in 43 years to win three straight São Paulo state championships. They also competed in the Libertadores as the defending champions, exiting in the semi-finals after a 1–2 aggregate loss against eventual winners Corinthians. The 2011 season was Santos Futebol Clube's ninety-ninth season in existence and the club's fifty-second consecutive season in the top flight of Brazilian football. On 8 November 2010, Santos announced Adílson Batista to coach the team and his debut was on January in the Campeonato Paulista. But, on 27 February 2011, Santos sacked him although he had only one defeat in 11 matches. Marcelo Martelotte assumed as caretaker until 5 April when Muricy Ramalho was officially announced as new coach. On 15 May, Santos won their 19th Campeonato Paulista title beating their rival Corinthians 2–1 on aggregate in the final.
