Alan McCrabbe
Alan McCrabbe (born 29 April 1986 in Dublin) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Craobh Chiaráin and has been a member of the Dublin senior inter-county team since 2006. Playing career Club McCrabbe plays his club hurling with his local club Craobh Chiaráin and has enjoyed some success. In 2006 he lined out in his first county senior championship final, with Ballyboden St. Enda's providing the opposition. A narrow 2-10 to 2-8 score line gave Craobh Chiaráin the victory and gave McCrabbe a county winners' medal. Craobh Chiaráin subsequently represented Dublin in the Leinster club series of games. After a defeat of Mount Leinster Rangers, McCrabbe's side were defeated by Birr in the provincial semi-final. McCrabbe was later named on the Dublin Blue Stars team for 2006 at right wing-forward. Craobh Chiaráin CLG
Craobh Chiaráin is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Donnycarney, County Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Craobh have won the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship on five occasions, in 1971, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2006. The club was founded in 1962 when two existing clubs, Craobh Rua and Naomh Chiaráin, were amalgamated. 2006 Craobh beat Ballyboden St Endas in the Dublin senior hurling final at Parnell Park by a scoreline of 2–10 to 2-08. They have gone on to qualify for the Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship, Leinster championship against Carlow GAA, Carlow champions Mount Leinster in the preliminary round of the competition. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. Anthony Daly (hurler)
Anthony Daly (born 22 October 1969) is an Irish former hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Clare senior hurling team. Born in Clarecastle, County Clare, Daly first played competitive hurling during his schooling at St. Flannan's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Clare minor team before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 1989–90 National League. Daly subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won two All-Ireland medals and three Munster medals. He captained the team to the All-Ireland title in 1995 and 1997. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Daly won two Railway Cup medals. At club level he is a one-time Munster medallist with Clarecastle. Keith Dunne
Keith Dunne (born 10 February 1982) is an Irish footballer. Dunne is a versatile right sided winger who can play on either wing and he also has experience playing as a striker. Career Keith was born in Dublin and played with junior side, Verona, before moving to the United States to take up a place on a soccer scholarship in 1999. There, he played college football in Atlanta, before returning home to Dublin where he played with another junior club, Ashtown Villa. Keith was quickly snapped up by then St. Patrick's Athletic manager, Eamon Collins in March 2003, and made a number of appearances for the Saints over three seasons in the Premier Division. During his time with Pats, he played in the 2003 FAI Cup Final against Longford Town at Lansdowne Road, a game they lost 2–0. Liam MacCarthy Cup
The Liam MacCarthy Cup is a trophy awarded annually by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) to the team that wins the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the main competition in the prehistoric sport of hurling. Based on the design of a medieval drinking vessel, the trophy was first awarded in 1923 to the winners of the (delayed) 1921 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final. The original 1920s trophy was retired in the 1990s, with a new identical trophy awarded annually since 1992. The original trophy is on permanent display in the GAA Museum at Croke Park in Dublin. Leinster Senior Hurling Championship
The Leinster GAA Hurling Senior Championship, known simply as the Leinster Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition in the province of Leinster, and has been contested every year since the 1888 championship. The final, usually held on the first Sunday in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during May and June, and the results determine which team receives the Bob O'Keeffe Cup.
