Alan Killigrew
Robert "Alan" Killigrew (27 January 1918 – 10 June 2001) was an Australian rules footballer who went on to a celebrated career as senior coach in the Victorian Football League (VFL), South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and West Australian National Football League (WANFL). Playing career Killigrew (163 cm or 5 ft 4in) was a physically small man but an effective rover in 78 matches with the St Kilda Football Club from 1938 to 1941 and 1943 to 1945. Originally from Murtoa, he was voted club champion in 1940. Coaching career After his playing career was over Killigrew moved to Ballarat, where he managed a pub and coached Ballarat East and Golden Point. In 1956 he moved back to Melbourne to coach the St Kilda Football Club. He held this position from 1956 to 1958, demanding a "guts and determination" approach with emphasis on a fast running style and use of the handpass as an offensive tool. Prahran, Victoria
Prahran (), also pronounced colloquially as Pran, is an inner suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. Prahran recorded a population of 12,203 at the 2021 census. Prahran is a part of Greater Melbourne, with many shops, restaurants and cafes. QAFL
The Queensland Australian Football League (QAFL) is an Australian rules football competition organised by the AFL Queensland, contested by clubs from South East Queensland. Previously known as the Queensland Football League (QFL), Queensland Australian National Football League (QANFL), Queensland Australian Football League (QAFL) and AFL Queensland State League (AFLQSL), the QAFL is the premier semi-professional competition in Queensland. Wilston Grange Football Club
The Wilston Grange Football Club is an Australian rules football club which competes in the Queensland Australian Football League. It is based in inner-northern Brisbane and fields senior men's and women's, masters, youth and junior teams. The club's home at Hickey Park, Stafford, also hosts the largest AFL9s league in Queensland. History Wilston Grange was formed in 1945 as "Wilston Football Club", renamed Wilston Grange in 1947 and entered the QANFL in 1950.
