Alan Hochberg
Alan Hochberg is an American lawyer and politician from New York. Life Hochberg was born in New Jersey. He graduated A.A.S. from New York City Community College and a BBA from the University of Miami. Then he worked as an investigator for the U.S. Department of Justice. He graduated LL.B. from New York Law School, and was admitted to the bar. He was an Assistant D.A. of Bronx County, and entered politics as a Democrat. He married Faye Kronstadt, and they had two sons. On February 17, 1970, he was elected to the New York State Assembly, to fill the vacancy caused by the election of Robert Abrams as Bronx Borough President. Hochberg was re-elected several times and remained in the Assembly until 1976, sitting in the 178th, 179th, 180th and 181st New York State Legislatures. In June 1973, he ran in the Democratic primary for Borough President of the Bronx but was defeated by the incumbent Abrams. In February, 1976 Hochberg was indicted for official misconduct. New York Supreme Court
The Supreme Court of the State of New York is the trial-level court of general jurisdiction in the New York State Unified Court System. (Its Appellate Division is also the highest intermediate appellate court.) It is vested with unlimited civil and criminal jurisdiction, although in many counties outside New York City it acts primarily as a court of civil jurisdiction, with most criminal matters handled in County Court. Eliot Engel
Eliot Lance Engel (; born February 18, 1947) is an American politician who served as a U.S. representative from New York from 1989 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented a district covering portions of the north Bronx and southern Westchester County. In 2019, following Democratic gains in the 2018 elections, he took over as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; he previously was its ranking member from 2013, following Howard Berman's reelection defeat in 2012. Scarsdale, New York
Scarsdale is a town and village in Westchester County, New York, United States. The Town of Scarsdale is coextensive with the Village of Scarsdale, but the community has opted to operate solely with a village government, one of several villages in the state that have a similar governmental situation. As of the 2020 census, Scarsdale's population was 18,253. History Colonial era Caleb Heathcote purchased land that would become Scarsdale at the end of the 17th century and, on March 21, 1701, had it elevated to a royal manor.
