Luciano Pigozzi, also known professionally as Alan Collins (10 January 1927 – 14 June 2008), was an Italian character actor. A long-time staple of Italian genre cinema, Pigozzi was noted for his resemblance to Peter Lorre and appeared in such films as ''Human Cobras'', ''Yor, the Hunter from the Future'', ''Ivanhoe, the Norman Swordsman'', '' Blood and Black Lace'', '' Libido'' and perhaps his goriest role in ''Baron Blood''. Born in Novellara, province of Reggio Emilia, in Italy; he appeared in more than one hundred films between 1954 and 1989, including many 1960s Italian thrillers such as ''Terror-Creatures from the Grave'', ''Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory'' and ''The Whip and the Body''. Pigozzi died in 2008, at age 81. Alan Collins (writer)
Alan Alva Collins (1928–2008) was a Jewish Australian author. Collins wrote short stories, fiction, poetry, a radio play, and a memoir of his childhood in Sydney. Life Alan Collins was one of a small group of Jewish writers of his generation who were born in Australia. He wrote extensively about the Anglo-Jewish community and his work reflects their struggles to survive in two disparate, and sometimes hostile, worlds. Collins was unusual in that his family had been in Australia for generations. Both parents emanated from Western, rather than Eastern, European backgrounds. The Collins side derives from the Van Kollum family who were Amsterdam printers in the 17th century. One branch moved to London and, in the 1840s, Mark and Lydia Collins emigrated with their three sons to Sydney. Alan Collins was their great-great-grandson. Alan Collins (sculptor)
Alan Collins (15 August 1928 – 18 October 2016) was an English-born sculptor noted for his work at Guildford Cathedral. After continuing his career in England, Collins moved to the United States and continued working there as an artist and, for more than 20 years, as a professor of art at Seventh-day Adventist education, Seventh-day Adventist universities. Collins work primarily focused on evocative Biblical stories told in outdoor sculptures, which has been described as "24-hour, 365-days-a-year silent sermons." Early life Collins was born in the village of Municipal Borough of Beddington and Wallington, Beddington, in northeast Surrey, England. At the age of 16, after attending public schools, Collins entered Wimbledon College of Art, Wimbledon School of Art. While there he earned first prize in an England-wide competition. Sir Alan Stanley Collins, KCVO, CMG (; born 1 April 1948), is a retired British diplomat and former Consul General in New York City (2007–11), High Commissioner to Singapore (2003–07) and Ambassador to the Philippines (1998–2002). Collins joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1981 as a Desk Office after working in the Ministry of Defence for around 11 years. He had served in a number of diplomatic positions in Ethiopia and the Philippines before he became Head of Aviation and Maritime Department in 1993. From 1995 to 1998, he was Director-General of the British Trade and Cultural Office in Taipei (predecessor of the British Office Taipei). Between 2002 and 2003, he was seconded to Royal Dutch Shell as Vice-President for International Relations. The Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA) is an organisation founded in 1980 to expose Aboriginal music and culture to the rest of Australia. It started with 8KIN-FM, the first Aboriginal radio station in the country. Based in Alice Springs, the organisation is particularly focused on the involvement of the local Indigenous community in its production. CAAMA is involved in radio, television and recorded music.
