Alamo Conference
The Alamo Conference was a short-lived intercollegiate athletic conference composed of member schools located in the state of Texas. The league was established in 1935 with St. Mary's, Sul Ross State, and Texas A&I as charter members. Competition began in 1936 continuing to 1941.Alamo Conference

Sul Ross State University (SRSU) is a public university in Alpine, Texas. The main campus is the primary institution of higher education serving the nineteen-county Big Bend region of far West Texas. West Texas A&M University (WTAMU or WT) is a public university in Canyon, Texas. It is the northernmost campus of the Texas A&M University System and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). It was established on September 20, 1910, as West Texas State Normal College as one of the seven state-funded teachers' colleges in Texas.
