Aladaglar
The Aladaglar are a mountain range in Turkey. They harbour the highest peaks of the eastern Taurus mountains. The Aladaglar are stretched across the provinces of Nigde, Adana and Kayseri and are important areas for mountaineering and rock climbing. The highest peak of the mountain range is Kızılkaya (3771m). This mountain range stretches over a 25 km wide and 40 km long area. This mountain range has more than 60 peaks that are over 3000 m high. All of these peaks offer classical ascent routes alongside routes that offer technical climbing. These peaks offer over 170 traditional climbing routes. Aladağlar National Park (Turkish: ''Aladağlar Milli Parkı''), established on April 21, 1995, is a national park in southern Turkey. Taurus Mountains
The Taurus Mountains ( Turkish: ''Toros Dağları'' or ''Toroslar'') are a mountain complex in southern Turkey, separating the Mediterranean coastal region from the central Anatolian Plateau. The system extends along a curve from Lake Eğirdir in the west to the upper reaches of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers in the east. It is a part of the Alpide belt in Eurasia. Etymology The mountain range under the current name was mentioned in ''The Histories'' by Polybius as Ταῦρος (''Taûros''). Niğde Province ( tr, ) is a Provinces of Turkey, province in the southern part of Central Anatolia, Turkey. Population is 341,412 (2013 est) of which 141,360 live in the city of Niğde. Kayseri Province
The Kayseri Province ( tr, ) is situated in central Turkey. The population is 1,434,357 of which around 1,175,876 live in the city of Kayseri. It covers an area of 16,917 km2 and it borders with Sivas, Adana, Niğde, Kahramanmaraş, Yozgat and Nevşehir provinces. The province is an area that has been linked with mythological stories as well as important figures in Turkish history. Anti-Taurus Mountains
The Anti-Taurus Mountains (from el, Αντίταυρος) are a mountain range in southern and eastern Turkey, curving northeast from the Taurus Mountains. Yahyalı
Yahyalı is a town and the southernmost district of Kayseri province in Turkey. The Aladağlar Mountains, a part of the rocky Taurus Mountains, pass through this region as does the River Zamantı. Mostly covered in forest, the Aladağlar National Park covers and extends into the neighbouring districts of Çamardı (Niğde Province) and Aladağ (Adana Province), although the main part is in Yahyalı. The nearest airport is Kayseri International Airport. History The district was established by Turkish forces led by Seyyid Ali and Yahya Ali (Yahya Gazi who came into Anatolia in the 13th century.
