Chris Elliott (politician)
Thomas Christopher "Chris" Elliott is an American politician and state senator in the Alabama Senate in Senate District 32. Early life and education Elliott was born and raised in Mobile and Baldwin County. After graduating from St. Paul's Episcopal School Elliot received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in Virginia, majoring in political science and urban policy. After completing his undergraduate studies, Elliot worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia in the Emergency Management field and for Virginia Power focusing on Nuclear Security and Emergency Preparedness. Later, he returned to Baldwin County in order to raise his family and become a small business owner. Elliott has been active in Republican party politics for over two decades, and has worked for numerous statewide and local political campaigns in Alabama. Perry A. Hand was appointed Alabama's 47th Secretary of State in November 1989 and served from 1989 to January 1991. Alabama Senate
The Alabama State Senate is the upper house of the Alabama Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Alabama. The body is composed of 35 members representing an equal number of districts across the state, with each district containing at least 127,140 citizens. Similar to the lower house, the Alabama House of Representatives, the Senate serves both without term limits and with a four-year term.
