Al Filo De La Muerte
''Al filo de la muerte'' (English: ''At the edge of death'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Emilio Larrosa for Televisa in 1991. Humberto Zurita and Gabriela Rivero starred as protagonists, while Antonio Escobar and Blanca Guerra starred as antagonists. Plot Tracy López is a young nurse who lives in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, Sam Ross. Her relationship is relatively quiet, until Tracy accidentally witnesses a murder committed by her boyfriend. Scared, she goes to the Police Department telling what she saw. She subsequently finds out that Sam has been lying to her the whole time as he actually has criminal connections to the mob. The police introduce Tracy to the Witness Protection Program, where she is given a new identity: from then on her name will be Mariela Foret. Following the directions they give her, she flees the country to Mexico City. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Rosa Esther Gómez Bouchot (born 30 August 1951), known as Rosita Bouchot, is a Mexican actress and singer. She has appeared in over fifty films during her career. José Roberto Hill (January 13, 1945 – December 20, 2005) was a Mexican actor. Born as José Roberto Hill del Rivero in Mexico City, he appeared in plays, films, and telenovelas (soap operas). He is best remembered for the iconic films ''Cristo 70'' (Christ 70) and ''Ha entrado una mujer'' (A woman has entered).
