Al Sadd Basketball Team is a branch of Sadd Sports Club, which is the most successful team in all of Qatar. Qatari Basketball League
The Qatari Basketball League () is the top-tier men's basketball league operating in Qatar. The winning team obtains the participation right to the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. The first official season took place in 1981/82. There is a second division and two domestic cup tournaments, the Emir of Qatar Cup and the Qatar Crown Prince Cup. Al Sadd Handball Team ( ar, فريق السد لكرة اليد) is the handball team of Al Sadd SC, based in the capital city of Doha, Qatar. It currently competes in the Qatar Handball League (QHL). The team is one of the most successful in all of Asia, winning the Asian Club League Handball Championship a record 5 times. History Al Sadd Handball Team was formed shortly after the formation of the club in 1969. Since then, they have dominated the handball scene in Qatar, winning a record number of domestic trophies. Their success hasn't been limited to local competitions, however. The team has won a record of 5 Asian Club League Handball Championship titles, meaning they have the most Asian titles to their name. Milan Vučićević ( sr-cyr, Милан Вучићевић; born July 20, 1985), also known by his online pseudonym Nichim Izazvan, is a Serbian marketing consultant and former professional basketball player. Vučićević has played professional basketball in several countries including Cyprus, Oman, Ukraine, Greece, and Poland. Zoran Krečković
Zoran Krečković ( sr-cyr, Зоран Кречковић, born April 17, 1959) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. Coaching career Krečković began his coaching career in 1996 with IMT Beopetrol in Belgrade. In February 2000 he got fired. He had a stint at Crvena zvezda in 2001–02 before moving on to Yamolgaz '92 Yambol in the Bulgarian League from 2002–03. Krečković coached the Kuwait national team from 2004–06 and in 2008–09, including appearances in the 2005 FIBA Asia Championship in Doha and the 2009 Asia Championship in Tianjin, China. Emir of Qatar Cup ( ar, كأس أمير قطر), also known as the Emir Cup, but changed to Amir Cup starting in 2019, is an association football tournament played every season by all first and second division teams. The tournament is played in a knockout system, starting with the round of 16. If there is no winner after regulation time, a penalty shootout decides the winner. History The Emir of Qatar Cup is the biggest football cup in the country. The cup was originally only contested by first division teams, but in 1999 the Qatar Football Association decided to allow all second division teams to participate. Al Sadd Futsal Team is part of the Al Sadd Sports Club in Qatar. It is a futsal team based in Doha, Qatar and it plays its home matches in the Jassim bin Hamad Indoor Hall. Al Sadd have been the most successful team in the Qatar professional futsal league since its inauguration in 2006/2007, winning it a total of four times.
