''Al Jazeera America News'', also referred to as ''Al Jazeera America Newshour'' or simply (''Weekend'') ''News'', is a news program that aired on Al Jazeera America. The program aired several times a day on Al Jazeera America and was supplemented with Newshour from Al Jazeera English. The two programs often shared international correspondents. The program, featured national, international news, weather, technology and sports reports, was known to carry more international news items per broadcast than any other domestic news program. It aired largely in one-hour blocks at 7 pm Eastern/4 pm Pacific, 8 pm Eastern/5 pm Pacific and 10 pm Eastern/7 pm Pacific. 30 minute blocks aired around the clock at various other times. There was also a morning block from 8am until 12pm Eastern time. All news broadcasts were live, something largely uncommon among most U.S. cable news outlets. David Shuster
David Martin Shuster (born July 22, 1967) is an American television journalist and talk radio host. He most recently served as principal anchor and managing editor for i24 News, previously serving as an anchor for MSNBC and worked for Fox News, CNN, Current TV, The Young Turks and Al Jazeera America. Shuster's career at MSNBC included anchoring prime time breaking news coverage of the death of Michael Jackson, the passage in Congress of historic health care reform, and the deadly earthquake in Haiti. He was suspended from MSNBC in April 2010 after secretly auditioning for a new CNN show. After MSNBC, Shuster was hired to serve as "primary substitute anchor" for Current TV's re-launch of ''Countdown with Keith Olbermann''. Jacob Ward
Jacob Ward (born 1974) is an American science and technology journalist. In 2018, he became a technology correspondent for NBC News, reporting on technology's social implications. He was the editor-in-chief of ''Popular Science'', and from 2013 to 2018 was a science and technology correspondent for Al Jazeera America and Al Jazeera English. Randall Pinkston was a correspondent/anchor for Al Jazeera America. Previously he was with CBS News. After a stint as a White House Correspondent in CBS's Washington Bureau, Pinkston became a general assignment reporter, contributing to CBS broadcasts, including CBS Evening News, Morning News, Weekend News, CBS News Sunday Morning and 48 Hours. Nicole Mitchell (meteorologist)
Nicole Lynn Mitchell (born October 10, 1974) is an American television meteorologist, Air Force veteran, and politician serving in the Minnesota Senate. Mitchell is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, commanding the 126th Weather Flight. She previously served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, assigned to the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, as an aerial reconnaissance weather officer. She worked at the Weather Channel from 2004 to 2011 and with Al Jazeera America from 2013 to 2016. Barbara Serra
Barbara Serra (; born 19 August 1974) is an Italian-born British-based broadcast journalist and TV newsreader. Serra studied at the London School of Economics, before becoming a journalist. Serra has worked for the BBC, Sky News and was a presenter for Five News.
