Al-Ahly Women's Handball team was founded in the 1950s as one of the first Egyptian women's Handball disciplines. The Club plays on its official home ground arena, Al Ahly Sports Hall. * Al-Ahly Women's Handball team holds many records nationally. Al Ahly Sports Hall
Al Ahly Sports Hall ( ar, صالة النادي الاهلي بالجزيرة) is one of Al Ahly SC club's buildings, and a multi-purpose arena in Cairo, Egypt. It is used by the Al Ahly (basketball), Al Ahly (handball), and Al Ahly (volleyball) sections of the club. History When Al Ahly started to create the teams of handball, basketball and volleyball, they saw it was important to build an arena to host the home matches of these teams, The first time they started to make the designs and searching for funds was 1978, and because of some funding problems the project was postponed. Al Ahly (basketball)
Al Ahly is an Egyptian basketball club, located in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, that plays in the Egypt Basketball Super League. Currently, two of its athletes play for the Egypt national basketball team. The team is part of the multi-sports club of the same name. The club has won six Egyptian Super League titles, eleven Egyptian Cup titles. Internationally, Al Ahly has won the FIBA Africa Champions Cup in 2016, and the Arabophone Championship in 2021. Al Ahly Women's Volleyball Club ( ar, النادي الاهلي للكرة الطائرة للسيدات) is a part of f Al Ahly SC Club, which represents the club in Egypt and in major international volleyball competitions. The club has been based in Cairo since the 1940s'. The club broke many records and is the most crowned team in Egypt with a total of 64 titles including 34 league titles and 30 Egyptian Cups. Mahmoud Ibrahim Ibrahim El Khatib ( ar, محمود إبراهيم إبراهيم الخطيب; born 30 October 1954), popularly nicknamed Bibo ( ar, بيبو), is an Egyptian retired footballer and current President of Al Ahly. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in African football history. Hassan Hamdy
Hassan Hamdy was the 12th and president of the Egyptian Al Ahly Sporting Club. He was the vice president of the club during Saleh Selim's presidency and the chairman of Al-Ahram advertising agency which is part of the Al-Ahram association and the president of the International Advertising Association (IAA)'s Cairo branch. He also played for Al Ahly football team as a midfielder/defender in 1960 and 1970, and was the 20th captain of the squad. Saleh Selim
Saleh Selim ( ar, صالح سليم) (11 September 1930 - 6 May 2002) was the 10th president of the Egyptian Al Ahly Sporting Club. He also was a famous Egyptian football player and actor. He was nicknamed El Maestro because of his way of leading the Al Ahly football team to many victories. He then became the manager of the team, then member of the board of directors of the club. He finally became one of the most successful presidents of the club.
