Al-Qasim SC
Al-Qasim Sport Club ( ar, نادي القاسم الرياضي) is an Iraqi football team based in Al-Qasim City, Babil, that plays in Iraqi Premier League. History Al-Qasim Club was founded in 1973 by a group of young athletes. The team have been in the Iraq Division One for many years and have not been able to qualify for the Premier League due to lack of financial support and lack of a good stadium. In the 2015–16 season, the team strengthened their ranks with good players and was about to qualify for the Premier League, but finished second behind Al-Bahri in Elite Stage, and Al-Bahri qualified. As well as in the 2017–18 season, but they finished second behind Erbil in Final stage, and Erbil qualified. Al-Qasim managed to win the 2018–19 Iraq Division One and qualify for the 2019–20 Iraqi Premier League for first time, and chose Al Kifl Stadium to have them a playground for their Premier League matches. 2019–20 Iraqi Premier League
The 2019–20 Iraqi Premier League ( ar, الدوري العراقي الممتاز 2019–20) was the 46th season of the Iraqi Premier League, the highest division for Iraqi association football clubs, since its establishment in 1974. The season started on 18 September 2019 in a double round-robin format, but was postponed after 23 October 2019 due to the 2019–2020 Iraqi protests with matches from the first four rounds having been played. On 25 January 2020, with the withdrawal of five of the 20 teams that started the season, the Iraq Football Association (IFA) decided to annul the results of all the matches that had been played so far and not to relegate any teams at the end of the season. The league was restarted on 16 February 2020 as a single round-robin tournament. Matches from the first five rounds of the restarted season were played, but the season was postponed after 10 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was officially cancelled on 3 June 2020. Qusay Muneer Abboodi Al-Hussein ( ar, قصي منير عبودي الحسين, born 12 April 1981 in Iraq) is a former footballer and currently head coach of Al-Diwaniya. Prior to his managerial career Muneer was an acclaimed central midfielder with more than 80 caps for the Iraqi National Team, winning the 2007 Asian Cup. Adel Nima ( ar, عادل نعمة; born 26 February 1970) is a coach and former international Iraqi football player. He played as a defender, he is currently working as a coach for Al-Sinaat Al-Kahrabaiya Coaching career Al-Hudood On 24 July 2018, Nima signed for Al-Hudood SC for one season contract. Hussam Fawzi
Hussam Fawzi Naji (born 3 September 1974) is an Iraqi football manager and former player who played as a forward. He was the captain of the Iraq national team. Playing career Hussam was a leader of the Iraqi strikeforce capable of moments of genius during a game. He scored two goals against Al-Shorta in the 2–1 win in the Iraqi Cup final in 1996. The greatest moment in his career came when he scored one goal and set-up another against Iran at the 1996 Asian Cup and was later awarded man of the match. Saad Attiya
Saad Attiya (Arabic: سعد عطية حافظ, born February 26, 1987 in Iraq) is a former Iraqi football (soccer) defender. Career Saad Attiya was the youngest member of Iraq’s successful Olympic team. He was selected by Olympic coach Hamad for his defensive prowess after the end of the war. Hamad is said to have favored Saad’s height and speed. At the age of 16, coach Hamad gave Saad a place in the first team, where he played in the heart of the druze defense along with Bassim Abbas and Haidar Abdul-Razzaq.
