Al-Mesaimeer Sports Club ( ar, نادي المسيمير الرياضي) is a Qatari multi-sports club based in Mesaimeer. Its football department plays in the Qatari Second Division. It was previously known as ''Al-Nahda Sports Club'', then ''Al-Shoala'', and finally, today it is known as ''Mesaimeer Sports Club''. It was promoted to the first division of Qatari football for the first time in history in the 2014–15 season. History Formation The club was unofficially formed in 1996 (under the name "Al-Nahda Sports Club"), located in Doha due to administrative and financial dependence of the Qatar Football Association. In 1998 His Highness the former Heir Apparent Sheikh Jasim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, along with the Qatar Olympic Committee, officially founded the club followed by the formation of a constituent general assembly and the election of a board of directors. Mohammad Marmour
Mohammad Marmour ( ar, مُحَمَّد مَرمُور; born 4 January 1995) is a Syrian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for club Ahed and the Syria national team. Club career Despite denying rumors that he was going to join Safa in mid-2017, Al Marmour eventually penned a contract with the Lebanese side, even rejecting lucrative offers from Syrian outfit Al-Jaish. At Safa the Syrian midfielder three goals, against Salam Zgharta, Akhaa Ahli Aley, and Ansar, respectively. Costică Ștefănescu
Costică Ștefănescu (26 March 1951 – 20 August 2013) was a Romanian football player and coach who last managed Qatari side Al Shamal. He spent the majority of his career at CS Universitatea Craiova, where he made a club record 378 appearances. He is also the second all-time appearance leader in Liga I, having played in a total of 490 matches. In 1983, Ștefănescu was nominated for the Ballon d'Or. In August 2013, after suffering from cancer for a long time, he committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of the military hospital in Bucharest. The Qatari Second Division ( ar, دوري الدرجة الثانية القطري), QSD or Second Division League, also was known as Qatargas League due to sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of football league competition in Qatar. Contested by 8 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Qatar Stars League (QSL). Seasons of the QSD run from September to April. The league's first season was played in 1979 which was won by Al-Ittihad. Club Sportif Sfaxien ( ar, النادي الرياضي الصفاقسي) is a Tunisian professional association football club founded in 1928.
