Al-Horgelah Sports Club () is a Syrian professional football club based in Al-Horjelah, Rif Dimashq Governorate. It was founded in 2015. They play their home games at the Municipal Stadium in Al-Horjelah, and Al-Jalaa Stadium in Damascus. History Al-Horgelah Sports Club were promoted to the Syrian Premier League for the 2020–21 season for the first time in their history; hence, they became the first club from the Rif Dimashq Governorate to play in the Syrian Premier League. Al-Horjelah (also spelled Al-Horgelah or Al-Harjalah; ar, الحرجلة), is a Syrian village located in Markaz Rif Dimashq, Rif Dimashq. Al-Jalaa Stadium ( ar, مَلْعَب ٱلْجَلَاء, Malʿab al-Jalāʾ, English: Liberation Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in Damascus, Syria, currently used mostly for football matches. It is also home to Syrian Premier League clubs Al-Wahda and Al-Majd. The stadium was able to hold up to 15,000 spectators. Fajr Ibrahim ( ar, فجر إبراهيم) is a Syrian football coach and former footballer. Club career Fajr started playing in the Syrian League with Al-Wahda team in 1979. He remained with the club until he retired from the playing. He won the Syrian Cup in 1993 with Al-Wahda team and won the title of best left back in 1986 season. The Syrian Premier League ( ar, الدوري السوري الممتاز) is a professional association football league in Syria and the top division in of the Syrian football league system. The league comprises 12 teams and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Syrian League 1st Division. The Syrian Premier League was founded in 1966, unifying the local leagues that had existed previously. Seasons mostly run from August to May. Ibrahim Rafik Alma ( ar, إبرَاهِيْم رَفِيْق عَالِمَة; born 18 October 1991) is a Syrian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for football club Tishreen in Syrian Premier League.
