Al-Hawija SC
Al-Hawija Sport Club ( ar, نادي الحويجة الرياضي), is an Iraqi football team based in Hawija District, Kirkuk, that plays in the Iraq Division One. After ISIS era After the end of the era of ISIS control over Hawija, and the return of life to its people, the sports activity of the club returned, after its closure, and a new football team was formed, which participated in the 2020–21 Iraq FA Cup, and also participated in the league qualifiers for the 2020–21 Iraq Division One. Adel Khudhair
Adel Khodhor Hafedh Al-Musawi ( ar, عادل خضيّر; born 1 July 1954, better known as Adel Khudhair, is an Iraqi football coach and former international player. He played as a defender and midfielder. He was born in Basra. International posts Khudhair appeared at the World Military Cup 1977, and also played in the Moscow Olympics in 1980. He played in 5th Arabian Gulf Cup in 1979 and scored two goals, the first goal against Emirates, and the second against Oman. Political aspect In 1982, the Iraqi Ba'athist government overthrew Khudhair out the national team after they learned that his brother (Shaker) belonged to the Dawa party. His brother was then assassinated with his son (Mahmoud) by the government and Khudhair was subsequently placed under house arrest. After the outbreak of the 1991 uprising in Basra, Khudhair took part in a military operation and was seriously injured. He was taken to Kuwait, then to Iran and treated in hospital. The Iraq Division One is the second-highest division of the Iraqi football league system after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. It is operated by the Iraq Football Association (IFA). Each season, the two top-finishing teams in the Division One are automatically promoted to the Premier League. 2020–21 Iraq FA Cup
The 2020–21 Iraq FA Cup was the 31st edition of the Iraqi knockout football cup as a clubs-only competition, the main domestic cup in Iraqi football, featuring 126 teams (20 from the Iraqi Premier League and 106 from the Iraq Division One and Iraq Division Two). It started on 20 October 2020 and the final was played on 19 July 2021 at Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad. The winners of the competition were Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, who won their fifth title with a penalty shootout victory over Al-Zawraa, becoming the first Iraqi club to win the double since the 2001–02 season. 2020–21 Iraq Division One
The 2020–21 Iraq Division One was the 47th season of the Iraq Division One, the second tier of the Iraqi football league system since its establishment in 1974. The number of clubs in the league have changed throughout history due to several factors, most recently in this season when the number of clubs increased from 12 to 28 in total. The top team from each group is directly promoted to the Premier League, while a third club can be promoted through play-offs, on the other hand, two clubs from each group are directly relegated to the Division Two. Al-Sinaa won the title and were promoted alongside runners-up Newroz. Format Teams from all over Iraq participated in preliminary qualifications for the final stage.
