Al-Fahad SC
Al-Fahad Sport Club ( ar, نادي الفهد الرياضي), is an Iraqi football team based in Al-Khalidiya, Al-Anbar, that plays in the Iraq Division Two. Stadium after ISIS era After ISIS took over Al-Anbar, several battles took place between ISIS and the Iraqi army. Some of those battles took place on the club's stadium, until the Iraqi army managed to liberate Al-Khalidiya in July 2015. After the liberation, the club's president and a number of fans demanded the Ministry of Youth and Sports to rehabilitate the stadium, because it falls under the supervision of this ministry. Al-Khalidiya, Iraq
Al-Khaldiya ( ar, الخالدية, also ''Al-Khalidiya, Khalidiya, Khalediya'') is a city in Al-Anbar Province, in central Iraq on the southern banks of river Euphrates. The Iraqi Ground Forces (Arabic: القوات البرية العراقية), or the Iraqi Army (Arabic: الجيش العراقي), is the ground force component of the Iraqi Armed Forces. It was known as the Royal Iraqi Army up until the coup of July 1958. Battle Of Ramadi (2014–2015)
The Battle of Ramadi, also called the Fall of Ramadi, was part of an ISIL offensive to capture all of the Anbar Province. Ramadi was one of the Iraqi government's last strongholds in Anbar, after ISIL's success in a previous campaign. The battle began in November 2014, and drew to a close on 14 May 2015, as Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) insurgents seized hold of government buildings. On 17 May, the Iraqi Army and special forces fled the city, with 500 civilians and security personnel dead. 2012–13 Iraq FA Cup
The 2012–13 Iraq FA Cup was the 26th edition of the Iraq FA Cup as a clubs-only competition, the main domestic cup in Iraqi football. It was the first edition held since the 2002–03 season. The tournament was cancelled during the Round of 32 because of scheduling difficulties the Iraq Football Association had with the 2012–13 Iraqi Elite League. Format Participation The cup starts with a qualifying round of 13 teams from the Iraq Division One, 12 of which play against each other and one of which proceeds to the playoff round. The playoff round gets played between three teams from Division One and one from the Iraqi Premier League. The other 17 teams of the Iraqi Premier League and the rest of Division One join the other teams in the Round of 32.
