Al-Alam (magazine)
The Arabic-language satirical magazine ''al-Alam'' (Arabic: العلم; DMG: al-ʿĀlam; English: "The World") was published weekly in Cairo between 1926 and 1927 in a total of 51 issues. Its founder and editor was ʿAli Fahmi Kamil (1870-1926 ), who also served as manager of the journal '' al-Liwaʾ''. The journal deals mostly with political and social events of its time. Satirical Magazines
Satire is a genre of the visual, literary, and performing arts, usually in the form of fiction and less frequently non-fiction, in which vices, follies, abuses, and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, often with the intent of shaming or exposing the perceived flaws of individuals, corporations, government, or society itself into improvement. The Arabic-language non-political weekly magazine ''Kull shay'' (Arabic: كل شىء; DMG: Kull šayʾ; English: Everything) was first published in Cairo in 1925. The magazine produced a total of 105 issues until its closure in 1927. It was published by Dar Al Hilal. The managing editor was the famous journalist, writer and political theorist Salama Musa. He also published editorials in the magazine. One of the contributors was Palestinian writer Asma Tubi.
