''Akşam'' (''Evening'') is a Turkish newspaper founded in 1918, owned by Zeki Yeşildağ's Türk Medya Grup (T Medya Yatırım San. ve Tic. AŞ.) since 2013. In 2013 it had a circulation of around 100,000. Mehmet Ocaktan
Mehmet Ocaktan (born 8 June 1955, Dursunbey, Balıkesir Province) is a Turkish journalist, and a former deputy for the Justice and Development Party (2007 to 2011). Since June 2013 he is the editor-in-chief of ''Akşam''. Previous journalistic roles include being the founding editor of ''Yeni Şafak'' and the managing editor of ''Star''. İsmail Küçükkaya
İsmail Küçükkaya (born 20 January 1970) is a Turkish journalist, news anchor and writer. Life and career İsmail Küçükkaya was born on 20 January 1970 to Yunus and Halise Küçükkaya in Simav, Kütahya. Doğan Özgüden
Doğan Özgüden (born 1936, Kalecik, Ankara) is a Turkish journalist and publisher. A former editor of ''Akşam'' (1964–1966), he has been based in Belgium since 1974, having left Turkey after the 1971 military coup under threat of over 300 years in prison for his publications. Together with Info-Türk co-founder Inci Tugsavul he was awarded the 2006 ''Ayse Zarakolu Freedom of Thought Prize'' by the Human Rights Association of Turkey for Info-Türk's journalism. Necmettin Sadak
Sadık Necmettin Sadak (1890 in Isparta, Ottoman Empire – 21 September 1953 in New York City) was a Turkish politician, former minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and former chairman of the Turkish sports club Galatasaray. Biography After graduating from Galatasaray High School in 1910, he studied Humanities in the University of Lyon, France, until 1914. Falih Rıfkı Atay
Falih Rıfkı Atay (1894– 20 March 1971) was a Turkish journalist, writer and politician between 1923 and 1950. Biography Falih Rıfkı was the son of Halil Hilmi Efendi, an imam. He was educated in Istanbul, Ottoman Empire. Falih began his career as a journalist in the '' Tanin'', a CUP newspaper. He later became the private secretary of Talat Pasha, and during World War I accompanied Cemal Pasha in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign. After the war, he, with three other friends, founded the newspaper ''Akşam'' supporting the Turkish War of Independence.
