Akuila Uate (born 6 October 1987), also known by the nicknames of "Aku", and "Akuila the Thriller", is a former professional rugby league footballer who played on the . He was both a Fiji and Australian international. He played for the Newcastle Knights, where he is the highest try-scorer in their history, as well as the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in the NRL, and later the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League. Nadroga-Navosa ( Nadroga: Nadrogā-Navoha) is one of the fourteen provinces of Fiji and one of eight based in Viti Levu, Fiji's largest island. Penrith Stadium (known commercially as BlueBet Stadium) is a rugby league and association football stadium located in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. The 22,500 capacity venue is the home ground for the Penrith Panthers who play in the National Rugby League (NRL). 2008 Rugby League World Cup qualifying matches took place from April 2006 to November 2007. Of the ten teams to compete in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup, five of them qualified based on their performance in these matches. The other five teams had qualified automatically. Qualified teams 6 Asian-Pacific teams qualified for the World Cup; 3 qualified automatically, with the top 2 in the Pacific qualifying group also reaching the finals. Lote Daulako Tuqiri (born 23 September 1979) is a former professional dual-code rugby footballer who primarily played as a winger across both codes. He represented Australia in both rugby league and rugby union, and Fiji in rugby league.
