Akosita Ravato
Akosita Ravato (born 16 April 1991) is a Fijian rugby union player. She plays for Fiji internationally and for the Fijiana Drua in the Super W competition. Biography Ravato previously represented Fiji in basketball at the age of 15 while still a student at Yat Sen Secondary School. In 2022, Ravato was named in the Fijiana Drua squad for the Super W competition. She made her Super W debut against the Queensland Reds in round 2. She featured in the Drua side that handed the Waratahs women their first Super W loss. She was named on the reserves for the Grand Final against the Waratahs. Ravato came off the bench against Australia when the two sides met for the first time in 2022. She featured at the 2022 Oceania Championship in New Zealand. She was named in the reserves against Tonga and scored a try in Fijiana's final game against Samoa. Fijiana Drua are a Fijian rugby union team based in Australia. Rugby Australia announced in February 2022 that they had joined the Super W competition. History The Fijiana Drua would is the first Fijian team to join the Super W competition with support from the Australian Government’s PacificAus Sports program. The Fiji Rugby Union announced that Rooster Chicken were the official sponsors of the Fijiana Drua for the current Super W season. 2021 Rugby World Cup
The 2021 Rugby World Cup was the ninth staging of the women's Rugby World Cup, as organised by World Rugby. It was held from 8 October to 12 November 2022 in Auckland and Whangārei, New Zealand. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first women's Rugby World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand, and by a country in the Southern Hemisphere. New Zealand were also the defending champions. The tournament introduced changes such as replacement of classification play-offs in the knockout stage with quarter-finals, and a longer scheduling window with at least five days between matches. The Samoa women's national rugby union team is a national sporting side of Samoa, representing the nation at rugby union. The side first played in 2000. 2022 Oceania Rugby Women's Championship
The 2022 Oceania Rugby Women's Championship is the fourth edition of the Oceania Rugby Women's Championship. The competition will be held in Papakura and Pukekohe in New Zealand from 9 to 18 July. The tournament returns for the first time since 2019. It will be the first time that Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga will play since 2020 and will provide Fiji with valuable preparation ahead of the 2021 Rugby World Cup.
