Akmal Saif Chatha is a Pakistani politician who was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from 2003 to 2007 and again from May 2013 to May 2018. Early life and education He was born on 8 November 1973 in Alipur Chatha. He graduated in 1992 from Forman Christian College and holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts. Political career He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (J) (PML-J) from Constituency PP-103 (Gujranwala-XIII) in by-polls held in January 2013. Ali Pur Chattha is a Tehsil and union council of Ali Pur Chattha Tehsil, Wazirabad District, Punjab, Pakistan. Ali Pur Chattha (formerly Akalgarh) is a tehsil of Wazirabad District in the Gujrat Division of Pakistan. It is situated nearly 35km away in the west from the district capital Wazirabad District, about 25 to 30 km in North of Hafizabad and 8km in the south from Rasool Nagar and 15km Chenab River (Qadirabad Barrage) and almost 26km of the east of Vanike Tarar. Forman Christian College is an private liberal arts university in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It was founded in 1864 and is administered by the Presbyterian Church. The university follows an American-style curriculum. Founded in 1864 by American Presbyterian missionary Charles William Forman, the college was initially named Mission College, and changed its name in 1894 to Forman Christian College, in honor of its founder. Forman served as an associated college of the University of Calcutta until 1947 when it became affiliated with the University of Punjab. In 2004, the government granted it university charter hence providing it with degree awarding authority. The Pakistan Muslim League (J) (Urdu: پاکستان مسلم لیگ ج) is a political party in Pakistan established in 1988. It is one of the factions of the original Pakistan Muslim League, named "J" after Muhammad Khan Junejo. It was created in 1986 as the sole Pakistan Muslim League when Muhammad Khan Junejo was the Prime Minister of Pakistan under President Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. In September 1988, the party formed an alliance called Islami Jamhoori Ittehad with Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi's National Peoples Party, and Qazi Hussain Ahmed's Jamaat-e-Islami against Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party for the 1988 general elections. 2013 Pakistani General Election
General elections were held in Pakistan on Saturday 11 May 2013 to elect the members of the 14th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) led by Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) led by President Asif Ali Zardari and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan. Prior to the elections, the ruling PPP formed an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Awami National Party, while the main opposition party, the PML-N allied with the Pakistan Muslim League (F) and Baloch parties. The PTI led by cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, also emerged as a key-player.
